Varietals, Vineyard & Harvest: 100% Pinot Noir from the Black Bank Hill vineyard, hand-picked at 22.0° Brix on 1 October 2021.

Winemaking: Sorted, de-stemmed and lightly crushed, and given a wild fermentation. Racked into largely neutral French oak barrels for 18-months élevage prior to being estate-bottled unfiltered 3 May 2023.

Wine Description: Ruby red in colour and light to medium bodied. An attractive nose of raspberry, white strawberry, watermelon, violets and dried sage. On the palate cranberry, fresh rhubarb, strawberry, earthy plum, and tea with fine tannins, refreshing acidity and a generous finish. 

Acidity & pH: 6.3 g/L TA; pH of 3.36

Sweetness: Fully dry, >1.0 g/L residual sugar

Alcohol by Volume: 12.6%

Production: 75 cases

Tony Aspler, Pinot Noir 2021, (90 Points) Light ruby colour; floral, black raspberry, tealeaf nose with oak spice; medium-bodied, dry, firmly structured, red berry flavour with well-integrated oak and evident but supple tannins. (Tasted December 2024)
