Membership Details & FAQ

Our aim is to keep membership very simple: sign up to receive your 6- or 12-bottle member case twice annually (Spring and Fall) and join the inner circle at Black Bank Hill with priority and exclusive access to these collectable, single-vineyard wines. This provides members with a sample or two of all wines produced, leaving them the freedom to determine which wines they would like to collect more of going forward.

Once you have joined, received your initial case, and we have saved your information, you will be added to our members mailing list and receive all relevant updates and offers available. We will contact you seasonally regarding the next upcoming release and invite you to come and taste the next releases with other members at release tastings.

Your card will be charged twice a year after you have been notified of the next release date.  Of course, you can always reach out to us to enquire about additional wines and offers throughout the year, and we will be able to process your order directly and provide an electronic invoice for additional orders.

We will always do our best to substitute any wines and are always happy to include additional wines whenever possible. Once your order is packed substitutions becomes very difficult, but if you arrange for pick-up of your release or are attending a seasonal release tasting in
person, it is convenient to pack and adjust your release when you are here.

As we have two membership tiers, 6-bottle members receive complimentary wine tastings for 2 people (e.g. member and partner, or member and guest), while the 12-bottle members receive complimentary tastings for a group of 4 (e.g. member and partner and two guests). Of course, always do make a reservation to confirm your tasting appointment.

12-bottle members simply have double the benefits of 6-bottle members, including double the allocation on limited release and cellared wine offers.

You will not be charged if your membership is cancelled 2 weeks prior to the next release. You will be
notified a month in advance of an upcoming release at which stage you are welcome to cancel your membership, or at any time during the year. By signing up, you are committing to two releases a year, minimum of 6- or 12-bottles in the spring or fall.

If convenient, you are most welcome to arrange for pick them up as we are always happy to see you and give you your wines directly from the cellar. Of course, all orders can also always be shipped to your door as preferred.

Great question. Some unique or very small batch wines will be available to members only as either part of a seasonal release, or a special allocation.  Once all member orders have been fulfilled on that basis, we will be able to offer additional quantities to members who have further interest.

Events are organized on a case-by-case basis depending on what is being planned. Some events will be member-only and some will be available to both members and non-members. Events will likely always be ticketed or require rsvp, and could be either complimentary, reduced fee, or full price to members, again depending on the event.

Just like for a wine tasting, when events that are complimentary to members, 6-bottle members will have 2 complimentary seats while 12-bottle members will have 4 complimentary seats.   Members are always able to bring additional guests to these events, but additional seats will need to be paid.
