2022 Fraternité

61% Pinot Gris and 39% Gewurztraminer, grown and harvested by hand picking on the Black Bank Hill vineyard.  De-stemmed, pressed and racked into a neutral French oak barrel for a wild ferment and 16-months élevage on lees. Lightly fined for heat stability and estate-bottled unfiltered 1 March 2024.

Light straw colour. Aromas of honeysuckle, chamomile, dandelion and orange blossom. The palate continues with a full-bodied mouthfeel, orange marmalade, honeydew melon, candied ginger, rose petal, white pear and baked pie-crust with mouth-watering spices and a pleasing lengthy finish.

A deeply aromatic and concentrated wine that will benefit from extended cellaring.

14.2% abv.  A single barrel, only 24 cases produced.
