2023 Runway Rosé Magnum

 A ** Very Limited Magnum Bottling **  of our popular 2023 Runway Rosé (tasting notes follow below).   As this was hand-bottled after our regular bottling, the wine gained a very light and attractive petillance while resting in the cold cellar over the winter that adds to the celebratory character of the wine. 

Due to the magnum format of this wine it is for pick-up at the winery only.  Be sure to select 'Pick-Up' at checkout.

Varietals, Vineyard & Harvest: 94% Cabernet Franc, and 6% Cabernet Sauvignon, harvested 28 September 2023 at 20.3 and 19.0 brix respectively. 100% grown and hand-harvested on the estate vineyard.

Winemaking: The varietals were destemmed and given 48-hours on skins to extract colour and flavours prior to being co-fermented in stainless steel retaining malic acids. The wine was lightly fined with bentonite prior to being sterile filtered and estate-bottled on 1 March 2023. 

Wine Description: Deep cerise in colour. Aromas and flavours of cranberry, white strawberry, watermelon, blood orange, rhubarb, sage and rose. Medium plus acidity with a lengthy finish supported by a light grippy texture of malic acids and tannins.

Acidity & pH: 7.72 g/L TA; pH of 3.19

Sweetness: Dry to the palate. 6.0 g/L residual sugar to balance acidity and tannins.

Alcohol by Volume: 12.1%
