A lovely and perfumed Pinot Noir from the Twenty Mile Bench, striking a fine balance between the richer characteristics of the 2020 vintage and the classically fresh and elegant nature of our cool climate region.
Cherry, strawberry, red liquorice, rose, earl grey tea, mushrooms, loam. Medium-bodied with balanced acidity and supple texture due to the ripe and fine tannins of the vintage.
A wild ferment with 18-months élevage in neutral French oak to 2 g/L residual sugar and 12.9% abv. An additional year of bottle age prior to release. Drinking well now and will improve beneficially with cellaring for 5+ years. 91 cases made.
