Independent Wine Reviews

John Szabo, MS – 92 points, Value Rating: 5/5

Smooth, very silky and polished, delicate and fragrant but also powerful pinot noir here from Black Bank Hill, with attractive sweet wood spice and gently lactic qualities adding to the fresh red berry fruit, also ripe blueberry. It's really the beguiling texture in the end that wins one over, such comfortable and fruit-coated tannins, showing no hard edges or lines. Length and depth are also very impressive. Quality pinot from the Lincoln Lakeshore, expertly made. Best from 2028. Tasted March 2026.

David Lawrason – 92 points, Value Rating: 4/5

This is a very pretty, lively and juicy pinot that shows some sophistication. A nicely gentle touch here, perhaps thanks to the destemming and light crush. It was aged in second use French oak barrels for 20-months. The nose is nicely lifted with well meshed fine red strawberry/cherry fruit, fine red rose and
vanillin, nutmeg from the barrels. The acid is crisp but not tart, the tannins are a bit starchy. The length is excellent. I would age it a year or two, just to shave the finish a bit. Aromatically spot on! Tasted March 2026.

Megha Jandhyala, DipWSET – 91 points, Value Rating: 4/5

This is a light-footed, graceful pinot noir, ripe and fruity, nonetheless, with notes of pomegranate, strawberries, and cherries. Undertones of herbs and subtle savoury spice add to its appeal. Oak influence is balanced and integrated here. The palate is light to medium bodied, with fine, silky tannins and succulent acidity. The finish is long-lasting but subtle. I like the clarity, balance, and varietal character this wine reflects. It is ready to drink but can be cellared for another 5 years. Tasted March 2026.
