Varietals, Vineyard & Harvest: 100% estate grown syrah, clones 877 and 470, hand-harvested at Black Bank Hill on November 2, 2023, at 22.6 brix.

Winemaking: The fruit was hand-sorted, 90% destemmed with10% whole clusters included in a wild/ambient fermentation in tank. The wine was then pressed into 17% new French oak barrels and given 20-months élevage.  The wine was bottled unfiltered and unfined on 25 July 2025 at Black Bank Hill.

Wine Description: Deep purple in colour. Aromas and flavours of blueberry, violet, raspberry, dark plum, black cherry, white pepper, Provençal herbs, lavender, sage, allspice. The wine shows tremendous balance between its components, a firm structure of tannins and a long finish including anise and dark chocolate. A wine to savour with great potential for long-term improvement with additional cellaring.

Acidity & pH: TA 7.02 g/L, pH 3.50

Sweetness: Dry on the palate containing 2.0 g/L residual sugar

Alcohol by Volume: 13.7%
