2023 Runway Chardonnay

Varietals, Vineyard & Harvest: 100% Chardonnay, grown and hand-harvested at the Black Bank Hill vineyard on 2 October 2023.
Winemaking: The grapes were whole-bunch pressed, racked entirely into stainless steel and fermented using cultured yeasts. Malolactic fermentation was halted after 25% completion to preserve malic acids. The wine was filtered prior to being estate bottled on 1 March 2024.
Wine Description: Pale lemon-straw colour. Medium to full body with aromas on the palate of yellow pear, white flowers, brioche and toasty notes. The palate continues with green apple, yellow pear, peanut brittle notes with refreshing acidity and a pleasing saline finish.
pH & Acidity: pH 3.19, TA 7.3 g/L, Malic acid 2.0 g/L
Sweetness: Fully dry on the palate containing 3.0 g/L residual sugar
Alcohol by Volume: 13.8%
